In Taiwan's Temples, Carissa Sindon shares five images from the temples of this nation in East Asia. From 2005 to 2008, Carissa taught English and studied Mandarin Chinese in Taiwan. After continuing her Chinese studies in the United States, Carissa traveled back to Taiwan in the fall of 2019 to practice her language skills, and reconnect with this tiny island she considers a second home. In Taiwan's Temples, Carissa shares images from one of her favorite places to visit: its temples. She is attracted to their peaceful calmness and the ubiquitous smell of incense that embodies these spaces. Carissa looks forward to sharing this glimpse into Taiwanese culture with you. Enjoy!
